Felted Animal Portraits with Becky

Create an incrediable and uber realisrtic portrait of your furry friend that you’ll treasure fuuuur-eva!

Class Outline:

• Week 1 - getting to know your materials: intro to wool roving and the needle felting process by creating a 3D mini animal

• Week 2 - prepping materials: bring in 2 color images of your pet (10” x 10” maximum size), tracing your image on canvas and start mixing wool colors

• Week 3 - start felting: following your image as a guide to start adding wool into your canvas, take your canvas home to keep working as needed

• Week 4 - keep going: how to layer colors to add details, take your canvas home to keep working as needed

• Week 5 - framing your work: stretch your canvas over a wood frame to finalize your work of art
